ACRONET provides all types of services as a CRO that can develop its own EDC, including statistical analysis, data management and monitoring.
We started selling "ARCS+PMS" in 2006, which is useful not only for clinical trials but also for post-marketing studies.
In addition, ACRONET has developed services in the area of safety management in 2008, and will aim at developing a truly full range of services as the best partner of the life science industry.
ACRONET,as a member of Itochu Corporation,have successfully organaized our in-house-structure to assist the Phase Ⅰ Trial of anticancer drugs.This new project is one of our next strategies for growth and we trust it will brings us and our clients innovative movement in addition to our wealth of great experience of monitoring,datamanagement,statistics analysis,and EDC system.

ACRONET's Strengths

[ As a CRO with an IT company background ]
In 1969, ACRONET developed clinical trial services centered on data analysis services in an IT company our predecessor concern Itochu Techno-Solutions, corporation.
Subsequently, the company advanced into data management and monitoring operations, and has expanded its business as a full-scale CRO. Thus ACRONET has been providing various services as a CRO equipped with IT-related knowledge.

[ As a member of Itochu Corporation ]
By receiving investment from Itochu Corporation in April 2005, ACRONET acquired comprehensive cooperation in various sectors such as management, strategy, sales and administration, etc. which it requires to develop into a major company in the CRO industry.
Itochu Corporation has been developing its business positively in the life science area centered on the 3 main areas of "drug discovery support," "clinical trial support" and "medical treatment support.", and is providing a variety of services to pharmaceutical companies and medical facilities from international perspectives.
In addition, the company also conducts wide-ranging support business for the pharmaceutical industry, from new drug seed discovery (upstream) to drug distribution (downstream) including investment in overseas drug discovery ventures.
We will take maximum advantage of the know-how of Itochu Corporation and its international network to strengthen our consulting functions for pharmaceutical companies and will provide new services as a management-style CRO, a so-called Consulting Research Organizer.

[ Promotion of e-Clinical ]
As an undertaking in recent years, ACRONET has made proposals for various systems related to EDC and clinical trials, which should be of help in the promotion of e-Clinical. As part of those efforts, since 2006 ACRONET has been marketing in Japan for eCaseLink (DSG in the U.S.A), an EDC system capable to handle global clinical trials, and ARCS+PMS (self developed by ACRONET), an EDC system for use in post-marketing surveys.
In addition, nereafter by carrying out product development in response to the needs of the market, introducing overseas systems and conducting system development on custom-made basis, we will exert ourselves in the promotion of e-Clinical as a CRO well-acquainted with the clinical development business.

Itochu Corporation has been proactive in the promotion of industry coordinate activities and overseas business deployment activities in order to respond to the recent reorganization and globalization of the pharmaceutical industry.Including the management of a bio-informatics center, which provides genome information to large pharmaceutical companies, up point the company has developed an outsourcing business utilizing IT in the drug development area, and has expanded its service domain into the clinical trial support area by investing in ACRONET.In addition, the company conducts a wide-range of support businesses for the pharmaceutical industry, from new drug seed discovery (upstream) to drug distribution (downstream),its entry into the clinical trial support business is positioned as a part of the group’s overall strategy.
ACRONET will utilize the Itochu network to the maximum to pursue activities such as the support of Asian clinical studies whose demand will expand in the future, alliances with overseas CROs, and the introduction of foreign clinical development-related systems into Japan.
